Pole Fitness Certification offered by Pole and Aerial Fitness Instruction Commission of Canada (PFIC Canada) is an national pole and aerial dance for fitness organization with the mandate to lead ethically sound instruction and leader training, delivery, and promotion in association with other stakeholders, through a leading-edge national instructor and fitness leader development program that provides for instructing within a broad context of fitness leadership based on the needs of the participants, from start to finish. PFIC Aerial Yoga Fitness AYF-1
AYF-1 Certification Course:
The AYF-1 course is designed to provide you with the knowledge to safely and effectively instruct a group of participants in Aerial Yoga Fitness. Emphasis is placed primarily on Safety, but also includes:
- Terminology
- Pose Series in basic format
- Classroom Management & Instructor Code of Ethics.
- Spotting & Safety Considerations
- Legal Requirements, Onus & Obligations
It is a 8 hour/1 day course, consisting of a pictorial manual, theory and practical training on all basic requirements for aerial yoga fitness instruction. This program is an incredible asset to existing pole, yoga, aerial or fitness instructors.
Course is held from 10am-6pm. Practical Exams are conducted throughout day of instruction. 42 Hours of Practical Application are required to complete the 50 hour requirement to validate certification. Hours are to be verified via submission.

The PFIC-1 course is designed to provide you with the knowledge to safely and effectively instruct a group of participants in Pole Dance Fitness. Emphasis is placed primarily on Safety, but also includes:
- Terminology
- Grips, Movements & Transitions in basic format
- Classroom Management & Instructor Code of Ethics.
- Spotting & Safety Considerations
- Legal Requirements, Onus & Obligations
- Flexibility, Relaxation and Conditioning
It is a 10 hour/2 day course, consisting of a 100+ page manual, theory and practical training on all basic requirements for pole dance for fitness instruction. This program is an incredible asset to new and existing pole instructors.
PFIC Lyra-1 Certification
PFIC Lyra1 training focuses on body safety and alignment technique in, on and under the aerial hoop. We teach strength building exercises to help your students, plus fantastic mounts and dismounts with all the beautiful basic poses found in the aerial hoop. Created for the informed instructor, this course provides you with everything needed to include Lyra as a program designation in your alternative fitness studio.

- Risk Management, Screening & Legal Liability
