PFIC Aerial Yoga Fitness AYF-1

The AYF-1 course is designed to provide you with the knowledge to safely and effectively instruct a group of participants in Aerial Yoga Fitness.  Emphasis is placed primarily on Safety, but also includes:

  •  Anatomy & Movement Mechanics
  •  Terminology
  •  Pose Series in basic format
  •  Classroom Management & Instructor Code of Ethics.
  •  Spotting & Safety Considerations
  •  Legal Requirements, Onus & Obligations
  •  Flexibility, Relaxation and Conditioning

It is a 8 hour/1 day course, consisting of a pictorial manual, theory and practical training on all basic requirements for aerial yoga fitness instruction.  This program is an incredible asset to existing pole, yoga, aerial or fitness instructors.

Course is held from 10am-6pm.  Practical Exams are conducted throughout day of instruction.

With Previous Certification : $400 + GST. 

Without Previous Certification: $500 + GST.

Requirements: First Aid/CPR Level A (minimum), PFIC Canada Certification, National recognized Aerial Fabric Certification.

PFIC-1 Pole Certification Course:

The PFIC-1 course is designed to provide you with the knowledge to safely and effectively instruct a group of participants in Pole Dance Fitness.  Emphasis is placed primarily on Safety, but also includes:

  •  Anatomy & Movement Mechanics
  •  Terminology
  •  Grips, Movements & Transitions in basic format
  •  Classroom Management & Instructor Code of Ethics.
  •  Spotting & Safety Considerations
  •  Legal Requirements, Onus & Obligations
  •  Flexibility, Relaxation and Conditioning

It is a 18 hour/2 day course, consisting of a 100 page manual, theory and practical training on all basic requirements for pole dance for fitness instruction.

Course is held from 10am-6pm both scheduled days.  Practical and Theory Exams are conducted on final day of instruction. A passing mark of 80% is required to complete course and receive Certificate of Completion.  Certification Valid for 2 years from date of exam.

$450 + GST. (with valid provincial or national certification)

$650 + GST.(without prior certification)

Requirements: First Aid/CPR Level A (minimum), Valid Provincial or Fitness Certification or equivalent Degree.

PFIC Lyra-1 Certification

PFIC Lyra1 training focuses on body safety and alignment technique in, on and under the aerial hoop. We teach strength building exercises to help your students, plus fantastic mounts and dismounts with all the beautiful basic poses found in the aerial hoop. Created for the informed instructor, this course provides you with everything needed to include Lyra as a program designation in your alternative fitness studio.

30 hours practical is required, and must be verified by studio supervisor or owner A passing mark of 80% is required to complete course and receive Certificate of Completion. Certification Valid for 2 years from date of practical completion.
